    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? Being a part of HuskyADAPT allows me to work alongside others to create new ways for kids to just be kids, exploring the world and all that it has in it.

    What do you look forward to this year? I'm looking forward to helping grow the design component of HuskyADAPT and learning new design skills alongside HuskyADAPT students and community members!

    Fun fact(s): I could drive a tractor before I could drive a car.

    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? I joined HuskyADAPT because of the opportunity to increase accessible play within the community while learning important engineering skills. I also enjoyed working with HuskyADAPT members from all majors and backgrounds to promote accessible design together.

    What do you look forward to this year? I am looking forward to growing the club and increasing awareness of accessible play and design through community events.

    Fun fact(s): A fun fact about me is that I can bake really good snickerdoodle cookies.

    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? I joined HuskyADAPT because I wanted to help build a future of engineering and design that prioritizes empathy, innovation, and accessibility. Being part of the team has allowed me to connect with many like-minded individuals who share my excitement for increasing accessibility within product design through creative problem-solving and technology.

    What do you look forward to this year? I’m looking forward to learning and working alongside the HuskyADAPT team and fostering more connections and communication within the broader community!

    Fun fact(s): I know how to count to 10 in 10 different languages!

    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? I love the inclusiveness of the HuskyADAPT community, where everyone can share their passion for accessibility coming from different backgrounds and majors. Additionally, I find the process of adapting toys to be both fun and rewarding :))

    Fun Fact(s): A fun fact is that I love yerb and I am a guayaki yerba mate ambassador! (you’ll probably see me carrying around a yerb)

    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? I joined HuskyADAPT because I saw it as a great opportunity to gain hands-on skills and create meaningful connections with people. I loved feeling the joy of helping make someone’s idea become a reality and continuing to make technology accessible to all. HuskyADAPT stands for such an amazing cause and the community within it embodies a 'sky's the limit' attitude.

    What do you look forward to this year? I'm looking forward to meeting new members of the community! I want to be able to create the same fun and exciting experience that I had when I joined. I'm also looking forward to engaging and coordinating events with my fellow executive chairs!

    Fun fact(s): I've traveled to 7 different countries (but have never been to Europe)!

    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? I joined HuskyADAPT because I am able to challenge myself to make a difference in improving universal accessibility and design. I enjoy the ability to connect and establish relations within the community and see the differences that are made with the work that we do.

    What do you look forward to this year? This year I look forward towards broadening knowledge and education about toy adaptations as well as meeting new people in the HuskyADAPT community!

    Fun fact(s): I have dual citizenship with Germany.

    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? I joined HuskyADAPT because I wanted to learn more about accessible design to work with others that want to do the same. It's a really fun community focused on making a positive impact.

    What do you look forward to this year? I look forward to introducing new people to toy adaptation and the greater world of accessible and inclusive design, the same way the club did for me.

    Fun fact(s): I really like looking for cool rocks on the beaches in Seattle. Sometimes you get lucky and find a good chunk of sea glass too. I'm always looking for more rock spots, so if you know any good ones, let me know.

    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? I joined HuskyADAPT because its mission of making technology more accessible deeply resonated with me. As an upcoming user experience designer, I want to always be thinking about accessibility when I design experiences for users. HuskyADAPT has also helped me learn more about the design process by providing me with hands-on opportunities to conduct user research, build prototypes, and work with clients.

    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? I joined HuskyADAPT because I wanted to be involved in a club that strives towards creating inclusive environments for underrepresented or overlooked groups in society. HuskyADAPT fosters a creative atmosphere for students like myself to design and make technology accessible to all.

    What do you look forward to this year? As a HuskyADAPT ambassador, I am looking forward to representing the club on social media. I am fortunate to be an assistant to communication chairs Simar Khanuja and Vivian Tu and hope to create a strong sense of teamwork by the end of the year.

    Fun fact(s): I lived in Wuhan, China for eight years before my family moved to Seattle!

    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? I joined HuskyADAPT because I think it's important to improve accessible technology in everyday products. Toys are not something that people typically think about when considering accessibility, but I think it's important that all kids can have an enjoyable experience when playing with toys.

    What do you look forward to this year? This year, I'm looking forward to introducing more people to HuskyADAPT and getting a lot more adapted toys to kids.

    Fun Fact(s): I have a collection of quarters from all 50 states.

    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? I became a part of HuskyADAPT with the intention of collaborating with others in creating innovative ways for children to simply be children, embracing the wonders of the world. I am excited about contributing to the growth of the design aspect of HuskyADAPT and acquiring fresh design skills in the company of HuskyADAPT students and community members. When I first came across the HuskyADAPT club, I was immediately drawn to its concept. The prospect of tinkering with toys and gaining new skills in the process was especially appealing to me. What made it even more appealing was the fact that these efforts were all in service of a meaningful cause.

    What do you look forward to this year? The opportunity to participate in the toy adaptation workshop was eye-opening, revealing my genuine enjoyment for the club’s activities. It dawned on me that I could acquire hands-on skills essential to my growth for my future career.

    Fun fact(s): I broke my right arm twice and it’s still my dominant hand.

    Why you joined HuskyADAPT? Play and imagination are very important things for children. Unfortunately, disparities exist in toy design and accessibility. As a physician from Seattle Children's, I plan to develop a pipeline of unmet imaginative needs to innovative solutions.

    What do you look forward to this year? Meeting like-minded thinkers from the Seattle community and developing partnerships with similarly driven organizations.

Being a part of huskyAdapt was an opportunity for me to gain new skills and connect to a diverse community of people where ideas and different perspectives can be shared.

    What do you look forward to this year? What I am looking forward for this year is being able to connect with new people. And to continue to learn and grow as an engineer and a person.

    Fun Fact(s): I enjoy making baked goods and cooking for other people. I find it to be a very relaxing activity.
