KCLS Toy Adaptation Workshop

When: Saturday, February 1st, 2025 | 11:30AM – 1:30PM
Where: Bellevue Library (1111 110th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004)

RSVP form opens January 25th at 11:30 AM.

UW’s HuskyADAPT team will teach you how to modify battery-powered toys to make them accessible to folks with disabilities. Learn basic soldering skills while you help create accessible toys for the community. Adapted toys will be distributed to community organizations and families, ensuring that everyone has the right to play.

For adults and teens ages 12 and older.

Please register. Due to the high temperatures of our soldering irons, ages 11 and younger will not be admitted into the event.

Waivers are required for the use of soldering stations. Ages 17 and younger must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian and be accompanied by an adult.

Please wear close-toed shoes and long hair tied back.

Reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities is available by request. Email access@kcls.org at least seven days before the event. Automated closed captioning is always available for online events.
